Bargagli

Bargagli ( Ligurian Bargagi or Bargaggi ) is an Italian commune in the province of Genoa with 2770 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Ligurian inland in the valley Bisagno whose stream that flows through the adjacent community Davagna. The distance to the regional capital is Genoa is about 18 kilometers. Bargagli belongs to the Comunità Montana Fontanabuona and is also the largest town in the valley Lentro.

The highest peaks of the surrounding area is Monte Bragalla (900 meters), the former also Barcalla or Bargalla was called and from which the name is derived from the municipality.
