Bark Psychosis

Bark Psychosis are a rock band from London.

History

It has founded in 1986 and disbanded in mid -1990s again. As a reason for the dissolution of the commercial failure of the band and also often lack of interest of the live audience are usually viewed. However, for many a studio album in 2004 appeared surprisingly with new material, which, however, was mainly created by only one of the original members, Graham Sutton.

Their first single, All Different Things, published in 1989, the first album ( and the only original members ), Hex, 1994., This may be little known, but is considered by some critics as a milestone in modern rock history. The 2004 released album / / / Codename: Dustsucker Although closes musically to the earlier work, differs from this, however, both in expression and in the selected musical means.

Graham Sutton also changed the end of the 1990s a solo career in the drum and bass section. So he brought in 1997 under the pseudonym Boymerang Album Balance of the Force at Regal Recordings out, but made himself as a remixer or producer of tracks on labels such as Prototype Recordings a name, before he returned to his musical roots.

Style

Bark Psychosis among the most typical representatives of the post-rock. The band integrated the element of silence in their music without the category " Rock" to abandon them entirely. The music gains a kind of space, so that sometimes gives the impression that the music " lying " in front of the listener like a red carpet ( in contrast to the rather vertical "wall of sound "). The instruments use Bark Psychosis both traditional rock instruments and electronics.
