Barköl Kazakh Autonomous County

The Kazakh Autonomous District Barkol (巴里坤 哈萨克 自治县, Balikun Hasake Zizhixian ) was founded on October 1, 1954. It belongs to the administrative district of Hami in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. He is in the northwest of the governmental district and has an area of ​​38,445.3 km ². To the north it borders Mongolia to the state, on the east by the county Aratürük, to the south by the city of Hami and the west by the Kazakh Autonomous County Mori Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture. The political, economic and cultural center Barkols is the greater community Barkol; it lies in the southeast of the Autonomous Okrug. Barkol is known for its camel and horse breeding.
