Barro (Llanes)
Barro is one of 28 parroquias in the municipality of Llanes of the autonomous community of Asturias in Spain.
Geography
Barro is a Parroquia with 445 inhabitants ( 2011) and an area of 9.42 km ². It is 15 m above sea level. The Llanu Santana is 211 m, the highest point of the Parroquia. La Peña Blanca ( 1,177 m ) is the largest survey of the Parroquia. Llanes, the capital town is 7 km away.
Waters in the Parroquia
The Parroquia is just a few 100 meters from the Cantabrian Sea. The beach Playa de Barro is typical for the whole of Asturias.

Nearest airports are Oviedo and Santander. The feve has several stops in the Parroquia.

Barro and the Church Parish Church de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and the Capilla de las Animas are stations on the Camino de Santiago Camino de la Costa.
Economy
Fishing and agriculture characterizes the region since ancient times. Through the mountains and the nearby sea, the region has become a tourist destination, which promotes the economy significantly.
Climate
Pleasantly mild summers with mild also, rarely severe winters. In the highlands of the winters can be quite severe.
