Bartosz Kurek ( born August 29, 1988 in Wałbrzych ) is a Polish volleyball player.

Career

Kurek is the son of Polish volleyball national player Adam Kurek. He began his career in 2004 at AZS PWSZ Nysa. After one season, he moved to Zaksa Kędzierzyn -Koźle. 2007, the universal player his first appearance in the Polish national team. A year later he went to league rivals Skra Belchatow. Critics feared that he would only be a substitute there, but the club won in the first season with Kurek domestic double of league and cup. Then Kurek took part in the European Championships in Turkey, for the first time won the title in Poland. In September 2009, he was like his teammates awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta. With Belchatow Kurek defended the title successfully in 2010 and 2011 in the Polish league; also succeeded again in 2011 winning the cup. In 2011, he also celebrated further success with the Polish selection. At the European Championships in Austria and the Czech Republic Poland reached the third place as well as in the world league in which Kurek decided the rating of the best scorers in itself. In the World Cup, the team finished second. 2012 won Kurek with Belchatow for the third time the national cup competition. In the Champions League, the club hosted the Final Four only lost in the tiebreak of the final match against VK Zenit -Kazan. 2012/13 he was playing for the Russian club Dynamo Moscow VK. Since 2013 Kurek plays Lube Banca Macerata in Italy.
