Barty

Barty ( Barten German ) is a town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in northeastern Poland. The place belongs to Gmina Zalewo in powiat Iławski.

Geography

Barty is located in the moraine landscape of the Upper Lands, about six kilometers east of Zalewo. The district touches at its southernmost point the Nehmensee. Through the south of the district, the Droga wojewódzka 519 leads (the former National Highway 126). The local situation of Barty is located about 500 meters north of the main road 519 on the road to Jarnołtowo.

History

Barten was founded by the Teutonic Order as Good a little open.

In the middle of the 19th century (statistics of 1848 ) were Barten (as Barthen ) and the south adjacent Woritten noble outworks of the noble Guts terpene, but were later than 1874 for Gutsbezirk United Arnsdorf. Since 1874 the United Gutsbezirk Arnsdorf to created at that time the district of Arnsdorf in a circle Morag belonged.

Soon after 1919, the Vorwerk Barten was divided up and settled by the East Prussian Land Company in several farms. In 1926, the two districts beards and Woritten were (a total of 532.4609 hectares ) from the United Gutsbezirk Arnsdorf spun off and formed henceforth the rural community of baleen. Belonging to the District Arnsdorf remained unchanged. This administrative affiliation existed until 1945.

The municipality had Barten in 1933: 263 inhabitants and in 1939: 269 inhabitants.

In baleen there was until 1945 a two-class elementary school, which was 1923/24, see an extension. For school district included the towns Barten, Drenken, Posorten, terpene and Woritten. The school building was closed off building at the intersection of National Highway 126 to the town road of baleen after terpene which is roughly equidistant from each locality of its catchment area.

After integration into the Polish state Barten was renamed in 1945 in Bartoszewo and 1946 in Barty. The town was formed in 1954 its own Gromada in the powiat Moraski, but this was already released in 1957 as too small again. Since at least 1973 Barty part of Gmina Zalewo and is the seat of a Schulz Office to the still Pozorty and Tarpno belong.
