Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Baruta (short Baruta ) is a Venezuelan city in the state of Miranda. It is the administrative seat of the district Baruta.

In the 16th century the tribe of Baruta fought under the leadership of Guaicaipuro with other Caribbean tribes of the region around Caracas against the encroachment of the Spaniards.

Today is the 16th largest city in the country, the South America Representation of Procter & Gamble.
