Bas Eickhout

Bas Eickhout ( born October 8, 1976 in Groesbeek ) is a Dutch politician of the party Groen Links.

Life

After his schooling at Cobbenhagen College in Tilburg studied Eickhout 1994-2000 Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at the Radboud University Nijmegen. After studying Eickhout got a job at the Royal Institute voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM ), where he professionally dealt with climate change. In addition, Eickhout engaged since the 1990s in the political party Groen Links.

Eickhout since 2009 in the European Parliament Member of the Greens / European Free Alliance in the European Parliament. Eickhout is a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation for relations with the United States. As a deputy, he has worked in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
