Bas van Velthoven
Bas van Velthoven (born 26 February 1985 in Hazerswoude - Rijndijk ) is a Dutch swimmer.
Van Velthoven specializes in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle. He currently lives in Amsterdam, where it is trained by Martin Truijens. In March 2008, at the European Championships in Eindhoven he reached with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay bronze medal. A few weeks later, at the Short Course World Championships 2008 in Manchester, he won together with Mitja Zastrow, Robert Lijesen and Robin van Aggele over the 4 × 100 m freestyle silver medal in European record time.
