Baskemölla

Baskemölla is a place ( Småort ) and a fishing village in the Swedish province of Skåne County and the historical province Scania. Baskemölla is about five kilometers north of Simrishamn in the community Simrishamn. The name " Baskemölla " was first mentioned in 1525.

In 2005 the village had 238 inhabitants. By 2010, the proportion of holiday homes rose in the overall development of Baskemölla to over 50%, so the place Centralbyrån on the definition of Statistiska ( SCB) is now classified as " Småort ", although the population remains above 200.
