Basketweave (weaving)

The Panama binding is a term used in weaving.

Nature

This is a variation of plain weave. In contrast to the plain weave are in a compartment not only individual, but also interweaves two or more respective parallel warp and weft threads. The fabric has an emerging through the weave or checkerboard cube pattern. In Otto Lueger: dictionary of art, it is, to the nature of the binding Panama: Will warp and weft threads multiple times ( in bundles ) taken together (cube canvas, panama weave ), the padding and the Louisine arise.

Occurrence

Natté is a textile fabric which may be woven in the weave. The binding comes with handmade fabrics and household textiles.
