Bateau-mouche

A bateau mouche ( German literally " flying ship ", plural Bateaux - mouche ) is a tourists ship in Paris, which is operated by the Compagnie des Bateaux Mouches. This company has been registered as a trade mark the name Bateaux Mouches 1950 and since then owner of the trademark.

Jean Bruel (1917-2003), the founder of the company, had bought an old 1950, on the occasion of the World Fair of 1867 -built passenger ship. Together with the writer Robert Escarpit he invented the legend, the Bateaux - mouche were invented by Jean -Sébastien Mouche.

Bateaux mouche are relatively easy to maneuver despite its size on the Seine. You have a free upper deck and an enclosed, heated and air-conditioned main deck. When driving at night, the sights are illuminated from the boat.
