Bates Gill

Bates Gill ( born May 2, 1959) is an American political scientist and since October 2012 the CEO of the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

Previously, he was from 1 October 2007 to 31 December 2012, the sixth director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI ). He was the first American, who has held this post.
