Bathala (island)

Bathala is a small Maldive island in the north-east of Ari Atoll in the Indian Ocean. The oval- shaped island measures approximately 150 meters in length and 300 meters in width and is surrounded by a reef. It is named after a Süßkartoffelart ( " Bathala " Dhivehi is " sweet potato "). The otherwise forested tourist island circulates a sandy beach the closer on running the 45 bungalows for travelers during the island's interior. In the middle of the island there are small shops and utilities.
