Batheos Rhyakos Monastery

The Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour (Greek Μονή Μεταμορφόσεως Σωτήρος Χριστού ), commonly known as the Soteros or the Saviour Monastery ( Μονή Σωτήρος, Turkish Aya Sotiri Manastırı ) and briefly as the Batheos - Rhyakos Monastery ( Μονή του Βαθέως Ρύακος ) was a monastery from the Byzantine era near the present county seat Tirilye at Mudanya in Turkey ( in the Middle Ages Trigleia in Bithynia ). The church complex is in ruins today, some buildings are used as cattle sheds.
