Batman: The Dark Knight (roller coaster)

Batman - The Dark Knight at Six Flags New England ( Agawam, Massachusetts, United States) is a steel roller coaster from the model floorless coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, opened on 20 April 2002.

This roller coaster is not to be confused with the Batman The Ride roller coasters in the other Six Flags parks, as these are not floorless coaster, but inverted coaster.

In North America, it was the first roller coaster of this model, which is not equipped with a brake block in half the distance.

In Six Flags New England this roller coaster was the eighth and also the only B & M roller coaster in the park.

Layout

The layout is compact but equipped with five inversions. The steep descent leads by 180 ° to the left and sends his passengers in a loop. After the loop is followed by a Dive Loop, then there is a 180 ° left turn. After the curve follows a photo station, then a zero-g roll, which makes sense for a moment, no gravity passengers. The last two elements are Interlocking Corkscrews, sending the passengers into the final brakes.

The route is a special feature only of interlocking elements, because all inversions ( rollovers ) from other inversions, or route sections are pierced. The loop is pierced by the 180 ° left turn and the Zero-G -Roll leads right through the Dive Loop. The Interlocking Corkscrews there is this or a similar form, with many other roller coasters.

Batman - The Dark Knight has two trains, each with seven cars. In each car four people can (a series ) take place. As restraint system come shoulder strap for use.
