Battle axe#Asia

The Tabar Tabar Zin or -i - zin (also Tabarzin or Tabarzine; partly as " Sattelkriegsbeil " translated) is a traditional battle ax of Persia and India, which was mainly used by the cavalry. She has one or two crescent-shaped blade, sometimes, similar to a halberd, a sharp sting against the ax blade. The long form of the Tabar was about two meters long, while shorter versions to be less than one meter. A special feature of the Persian ax is particularly thin stem and handle made of metal, which makes them particularly easy.

The Tabar is still worn today as a symbolic weapon by wandering dervishes.

The name Tabar Tabar Zin has in today's meaning / " ax " and Zin / " manhood " (about the horse ), but some sources lead back to Zin Zar, the old word for "war".
