Battle of Mount Gaurus

The Battle of Mount Gaurus was fought between the Romans and the Samnites in the course of the First Samnitenkrieges. You probably took place in 342 BC. When Gaurus Mons is today's Monte Barbaro at Cumae, immediately west of Naples.

The Romans were led by Marcus Valerius Corvus and were victorious in the Battle of losses over the Samnites. Carthage should congratulates the winners and Rome have placed a crown of gold for the Temple of Jupiter.
