If a player of cheating transferred, the relevant accounts will be closed. The CD- Keys that were used to create them ( without which there is no access to Battle.net ) are usually locked for a month. Repeat offenders locked Blizzard almost always forever from the Battle.net out, which means that the branded players to the game (and a CD -Key ) Buy new would have to return to participate in the Battle.net. Blizzard released repeatedly figures on how many players or CD keys were excluded from Battle.net. These numbers are usually in the five-to six-figure range. The total number of locked CD key is already moving in the high six -, or even seven-figure range.

For the detection of cheaters Blizzard uses a specially developed to, as designated Warden anti-cheat system. It was initially used in Diablo II, and finally adopted on a trial basis in Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and since the patch 1:15 even with Starcraft.
