Batyń

Batyń ( German Battin ) is a village in the powiat Świdwiński in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is located 15 kilometers northeast of the county town Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) and belongs to the rural community Rabino ( United Rambin ).

History

The Pomeranian village Battin, formerly assigned to the Belgard of up to 157 meters high Battinischen mountains located in the hilly landscape to the north (now Batynski Gory ). The municipal district of the former manor and farm village were the outworks Karlsruh and small Damerow ( Dabrówka ) and the Knights pitcher on the road to Belgard ( Białogard ).

Battin was an old feud of the family of Podewils. In 1628 it belonged to the heirs of Anselm of Podewils, 1756 Captain Ewald von Podewils, and then his son, the Privy Legation Councillor Ludwig Christian. 1776 it passed into the possession of Major General Friedrich Wilhelm von Podewils. In addition to the farm with a large sheep farm there were six farmers, a Kossäten, a blacksmith and a pitcher economy - a total of 18 houses.

After Battin bankrupt wat, it was acquired by the District Belgarder Bogislaff Otto von Kleist to Dubberow for 16,120 dollars. From the family von Kleist Battin 1856 to CJ Heyse sold, and as a later owner, the names of Hosemann and Ponatz called.

In 1890 the village was given to the construction of a road direct connection to the five km away Great Rambin ( Rabino ), which is also a railway station on the railroad route Berlin - was Königsberg - Szczecin - Koszalin - Gdansk.

In the years 1931/1932 was the Aufsiedlung, the 675 -acre estate Battin was divided into 55 new settlers sites.

Church

Battin belonged until 1945 to the parish Arnhausen ( Lipie ) Church in Belgard county in Pomerania Province of the Church of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German pastor of the parish Arnhausen was Egbert Zieger (1933-1945, most recently his wife Gerda Zieger provided the official business ). School

In the old school building, a tavern was located with a grocery store recently. Last headmaster of Battin was a teacher Walter Baumann. Today's responsible for Batyń school is located in Rabino.
