Baumschlager-Eberle

Baumschlager & Eberle is a global architectural firm that is primarily engaged in the design and construction of residential complexes and energy-saving buildings.

Architectural firms

It was founded by Carlo Baumschlager and Dietmar Eberle in Lochau near Bregenz. After starting out in Vorarlberg - with a focus on housing - the office with locations in Vienna Lustenau (Austria ), St. Gallen ( CH), Zurich (CH), Vaduz (FL) and Beijing ( Ö), now represented internationally. Carlo Baumschlager retired in 2010 from the company and founded, together with Swiss architect Jesco Hutter, the new architecture Baumschlager Hutter partner. Nevertheless, the architectural firm Baumschlager & Eberle retained its old name.

Since its founding in 1985, the office realized more than 300 buildings. Among the major projects of recent times include the expansion of the airport of Vienna, a large hospital in Kortrijk, Belgium, skyscrapers in Beijing and the Geneva WHO / UNAIDS building. Baumschlager & Eberle try to reduce the use of technical systems for air conditioning on the quality of the envelope.
