Bavarian Crown Jewels

The crown of the Kingdom of Bavaria was made on the occasion of the survey to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806.

Description

The crown is a golden crown strap of 20 cm diameter and 25 cm height. The Kronreif bears on the top and bottom beads. History

The crown was made in Paris by Martin -Guillaume Biennais 1806, after Bavaria had become at the beginning of Kingdom. The crown was not worn, but placed at the enthronement of the Bavarian kings and royal funerals on the catafalque. It is now in the Treasury of the Munich Residence.

On the front side of the globe, a large blue diamond was originally used.
