Bayat, Çorum

Bayat is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Çorum. The city is located about 60 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Çorum.

The district is located in the west of the province. It is bordered to the west by the province Çankırı, on the north by the province of Kastamonu, to the east and to the south by İskilip Uğurludağ and Sungurlu. The city lies south of the Bayat 2044 meters high Gecmiş Dağları in the valley of the river Bayat Çayı, which flows south into the little Kızılırmak.
