BC Budivelnyk

BK Budiwelnyk (Ukrainian баскетбольний клуб Будівельник ) is a professional Ukrainian basketball club from Kiev, Ukraine. In the 2013/14 season, the club plays in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League Ukraine. In addition to the Ukrainian championship of the club playing in the ULEB Euro League. It is one of the strongest clubs in the Ukraine and former USSR.

History and previous names

BK Budiwelnyk was founded in 1945 at a sports college as SKIF Kiev. 1958 reached the summit in the top flight of the Soviet Union and the profit of the first Ukrainian championship. In 1962, the team was assigned to a Bautrust and got the name Stroitel (Russian Строитель ), which means construction worker and Ukrainian Budiwelnyk means. So the team was also called in the Ukrainian press. In 1989 final name change to Budiwelnyk. After winning the championship in the 2012/13 season Budiwelnyk with eight titles erfolgreicheste Ukrainian team since independence. In the European competitions, reaching the semi-finals was the best result in the Eurocup 2013.
