BC Krasny Oktyabr
BK Krasny Oktjabr Volgograd (Russian Красный Октябрь Волгоград, German Red October Volgograd) is a professional basketball club of VTB United League from Volgograd, Russia.
History
The team was founded on the initiative of the Executive Director of the Wolgogradski Metallurgitscheski Sawod Krasny Oktjabr Dmitri Gerasimenko in 2012. Gerasimenko has been active not only as President, but also as a player. In his first season the club started in the second-class Super League Russia and finished the regular season after the 11th Place. For the 2012/13 season got Red October the right to start in the VTB United League.
