BC Nevėžis

The Krepsinio klubas Nevėžis Kėdainiai is a basketball club in Lithuania Kėdainiai. It was named after the river in central Lithuania Nevėžis.

History

Basketball coach Stasys Mickevičius in 1992 founded the club and led him as chairman.

1993 UAB " Notra " became the main sponsor and the club was " KK Notra ", participated in the league " C". In the second 1994-1995 season the league C the club reached the 2nd place and was therefore able in the league LKBL ( the then third largest Lithuanian League ) play. After that, the club reached the 6th place 1995/1996 and the 4th Place 1997/1998 in the LKBL. Some years was named the club " Nevėžis - Rezgiai " and since 1999 after the change of sponsors again " Nevėžis ". In 1999, Petras Staliorius president of the club.

2001/2002 Club winner of LKAL was, an increase in the LKL, the highest Lithuanian league on. Since 2002, the club plays in the LKL.

The second team of the club " Nevėžis -2 " is set in the Regional ( RRO ) in Upper Lithuania.
