BC Spartak Pleven

Basketbolen club Spartak Pleven ( Bulgarian Баскетболен Клуб Спартак Плевен ) is a Bulgarian basketball club from Pleven.

History

The club was founded in 1947 as Plama Pleven. Under this name, the club also won his two championship titles in 1995 and 1996. In 1997 was called in BK Spartak Pleven order.

Since the early 1990s Pleven is an integral part of the highest Bulgarian Basketball League. After the two tracks one was again second in the regular season, a higher position has since not been reached and also in a finale not got one.

Between 1995 and 1997, the club took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup, left there early. After a long European abstinence they tried in 2009 in the Euro Challenge, but failed in the qualifying round

The club plays its home games from the comprehensive 1500 places Balkanstroy Hall.
