BEACOPP

The BEACOPP schema is a cytostatic therapy which was developed by the German Hodgkin Study Group. Under the BEACOPP scheme is understood to chemotherapy with the following medications in the following dosage:

BEACOPP base in the sequence of administration ( mg / m = mass / body surface area)

Escalated BEACOPP:

The duration of a cycle is 21 days. Here are 15-21 days of recovery. Here no drugs are administered. The cycle time can be also of 14 days, in this case eliminates the recovery phase. Normal time be carried out 8, sometimes 6 cycles. If it is medically indicated, to the iv Medication doses on day 8 omitted. This happens mostly in the later cycles.

The therapy takes place on an outpatient basis in most cases.

Indication

The BEACOPP scheme is applied in advanced Hodgkin's disease.
