Beaucouzé

Beaucouzé is a commune in the department of Maine -et -Loire in the Pays de la Loire. The place is located in the outskirts of Angers and is the community association Communauté d' agglomà d' Angers Loire Métropole connected.

Due to the proximity to the city Angers and the presence of several companies Beaucouzé has experienced a tremendous growth of its population. From 638 inhabitants in 1962 to this date 4865 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) increased. The place houses next three schools also an important industrial district.

Beaucouzé maintains since 2000 a close twinning with Selb in Upper Franconia. Since 1997, there have been a treaty of friendship of the two communities.
