The Beautiful from Bath (also: " Beautiful Bath " ) - original English name Beauty of Bath - is an old variety of apple culture, which is used as an eating apple.
The Beautiful of Bath is a summer apple that ripens from mid to late July, immediately enjoyable ripe and is approximately one month shelf life.
The fruits are flattened medium size spherical, have a smooth shell with yellow green at first, later yellow-orange color and red blush - which may turn out blotchy or streaky and have a säurlichen taste with a slightly spicy flavor.
The variety was found as a chance seedling at the beginning of the second half of the 19th century, near Bath in England / Great Britain.
The " Beautiful from Bath " was until the mid-20th century - due to its early maturity and the transport and ( limited ) Shelf life - a common market places. Today it is still grown in private gardens.
