Běchovice

Běchovice ( German Biechowitz ) is a district in the east of Prague.

This district is, together with Újezd ​​nad Lesy ( Aujest am Walde ), Klánovice and Koloděje ( Kolodei ) to the administrative district Prague 21

Geography

Biechowitz lies to the east of sub Potschernitz, south of Sejprawitz, west of Blatow, northwest of Aujezd and north of Koloděj and Dubetsch. The Ritschaner Bach and Bach Biechowitzer lead here in the Moldauzufluß Rokytka.

History

1754 was a station of the k.k. Post built here. In 1845, the railroad of the k.k. Northern State Railway put into operation. At the train station took place on June 17th 1848 in a massacre.

In 1974, the city was incorporated to Prague.

Traffic

To the west of the district, there is a junction of road 12 (of Bohemian Brod coming ) to the Prague city ring road ( Rychlostní silnice 1). The station is located on the railway line Česká Třebová - Praha. Furthermore, there are three bus stops.
