Beck, Bogert & Appice
Beck, Bogert & Appice (BBA ) was a British- American rock band, one of the supergroups of the 1970s, consisting of Jeff Beck ( guitar), Tim Bogert (bass) and Carmine Appice (drums).
In the late 1960s the Englishman Jeff Beck had played ( known by the Yardbirds and the Jeff Beck Group ) briefly at the American band Vanilla Fudge, which included Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice. Since then, a joint project was always talking, but Beck had a car accident in 1970 and had to pause for a long time. Bogert and Appice left the same year, Vanilla Fudge and Cactus founded.
In the fall of 1972 -again Beck invited the two Americans to join him on recordings with Stevie Wonder. It was the song Superstition, which was a hit for both Wonder as well as for the new power trio BBA.
It was followed by the album Beck, Bogert & Appice and a successful tour of Japan. During the tour, the only published in Japan double live album Beck, Bogert & Appice Live was (also known as Live in Japan ) was added. 1974 BBA broke up again.
