Bednary, Greater Poland Voivodeship

Bednary is a village in the municipality Pobiedziska powiat Poznanski in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in west-central Poland. The place is located about 8 km northwest of Pobiedziska and 20 km north-east of the regional capital Poznań.

History

The place was after the Third Partition of Poland in 1793 to the circle Schroda and from January 4, 1900 for float - East District. It was renamed in 1903 in Bednary Hauland and 1910 had 151 inhabitants. The Gemeindelexikon for the Kingdom of Prussia from 1905 are for Bednary colony 15 inhabited houses on 91.5 hectares. The 138 residents who were made up of 29 German -speaking Protestants, 109 Polish-speaking Catholics split up to 25 households. The Protestant church belonged to the parish Pudewitz, the Catholic Parish Wronczyn. Between 1939 to 1945 the place was known as Tonndorf.

In 1975 to 1998, the town belonged to the Province of Posen.
