Będzino

Będzino ( German Alt Banzin ) is a village with a seat of a rural community in the north of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the powiat Koszaliński ( Pomerania ).

Geographical location

Będzino is located on the Polish national road 11 from Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) to Bytom ( Bytom / Upper Silesia ) ( Kolberg and between Kolmar in Posen former German Empire Road 160). Up to the city of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) is 17 kilometers and the Baltic coast in Sarbinowo ( Sorenbohm ) is five kilometers. The place is a stop on the railway line Koszalin - Goleniów ( Koszalin - Gollnow ).

Village Będzino (Alt Banzin )

History

Once belonged to the Official Old Banzin Bast (now Polish: Łekno ), according to the transfer of the headquarters to "Official Kasimirsburg " ( Kazimierz Pomorski ) has been renamed.

In the Prussian era came Alt Banzin in the county in the district of Koszalin Koszalin Pomerania. By 1945, the city was a part of the Office Varchmin ( Wierzchomino ), of which the civil registry district, it also belonged. The local court was well as the tax office in Koszalin ( Koszalin ).

In 1905 422 residents were registered in Old Banzin, whose number rose to 443 in 1925 and 1933, 414 and in 1939 was 439.

After 1945, the German village of Alt Banzin was placed under Polish administration, received the Polish name Będzino and became the seat of an eponymous Gmina in the powiat Koszaliński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Koszalin Voivodeship ). The German population was expelled because of Bierut Decrees. Here now live 580 Polish inhabitants.

Church

The 1945 population living in Old Banzin belonged predominantly to the Protestant church. The place was in the parish Bast ( Łekno ) the parish in which the places Kasimirsburg ( Kazimierz Pomorski ), Popp Hagen ( Popowo ) Protect Werder ( Łąkoszyn, now defunct ) and Todenhagen ( Dobre ) were integrated.

Traffic

Road

The Gmina Będzino is convenient on the regional road 11, linking the Baltic coast near Kolobrzeg with the Upper Silesian Bytom. The county town of Koszalin is located in the immediate vicinity.

In Mścicce ( Güdenhagen ) branches off from the main road 11 from the province road 165, a five-kilometer Baltic Coast Shuttle, especially on weekends the vacationers coming from Koszalin in the Baltic Mielno (GroßMöllen ) and its neighboring towns passes.

Rail transport
