Bee Ridge is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Sarasota County in the U.S. state of Florida with 9,598 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Bee Ridge is located about 5 km south east of Sarasota and about 90 km south of Tampa. The CDP is affected by the Florida State Road 72.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 9,598 inhabitants distributed to 5,043 households. The population density was 950.3 inh. / Km ². 95.4 % of the population were white, 1.3% African American, 0.3% Native American and 1.8 % Asian Americans. 1.0% were members of other ethnic groups and 1.1% in different ethnic groups. 5.4% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.
