Begega
Begega ( Asturian Bixega ) is a place and a parish ( Parroquia ) in the municipality of Belmonte de Miranda of the autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain.
Begega is the administrative seat of the Parroquia, whose 65 inhabitants (2011 ) live in five villages in an area of 13.34 km ².
Begega is known for its scenery and the already operated by the Romans in open pit gold mine. This was expanded in 2004 in mining and closed in 2006.
