Begtse

Begtse (Tibetan: tse beg; sanskrit: Prana Atma; German: Copper tank shirt) was originally a Central Asian god of war. He appeared in the pantheon of Tibetan Buddhism in the second half of the 16th century, where it is one the lower protective deities. According to legend, he was said to be the son of a Yaksha and a Rakshasi. He is not a yidam and since he is said to have even not yet reached full liberation can not take refuge in him.

In Hayagriva practice cycle, it is the main protector.
