Behenjy

Behenjy is a Malagasy village in the district Ambatolampy, Vakinankaratra region, Antananarivo province. Their population was estimated in 2001 to 18,000.

Geography

The place is located at the Route Nationale 7, between Antsirabe and the capital Antananarivo. It has a station on the railway line between Antananarivo - Antsirabe. The nearest major town is Antsirabe.

Economy

The town's economy is dominated by agriculture: cultivation of maize, rice, cassava, vegetables, beekeeping and horse breeding. In Beheny but you can also find handicraft products.
