The North River or Bei Jiang (北江Bei Jiang ) is a 468 km long tributary of the West River in southern China ( Asia).

The river originates in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong Shaoguan at the confluence of Wu Jiang (武 江), coming from the northwest, and Zhen Shui, the approach flows from the northeast. From there, its waters flowing towards the south, to, culminate in Sanshui, which lies about 50 km west of Guǎngzhōu in the West River or to branch out there in the Pearl River.
