Beijing Foreign Studies University

The Foreign Studies University Beijing or Beijing Foreign Studies University (Chinese北京 外国语 大学, Pinyin Běijīng Wàiguóyǔ Daxue, english Beijing Foreign Studies University ) is one of the most prestigious universities for foreign languages ​​in China. Colloquially, it is referred to as Beiwai.

It lies to the northwest of Beijing, in the street of the city district Zizhuyuan Haidian District, close to the Chinese TV channel BTV on the west third ring, near the Technical University of Beijing and the Central Nationalities University. The campus is located both west and east of the third ring and has a total area of ​​304 553 m². The Beiwai has a Department of German Language and, since 2006, a German cultural center.
