Beijing Temple of Confucius

The Temple of Confucius (Chinese孔庙, Pinyin Kǒng Miao ) in Beijing was established in 1306 and is the second largest temple for the worship of Confucius by Confucius Temple in Qufu, the hometown of the philosopher in the province of Shandong.

It is located in the northeast of the old city of Beijing, close to the former city gate Anding and the Lama Temple. The plant has an area of ​​about 22,000 square meters. In the temple, many important steles with inscriptions are preserved.
