Beijing University of Technology

The Polytechnic University of Beijing Chinese北京 工业 大学/北京 工业 大学, in the English language known University of Technology, Beijing, or often referred to as Beijing Tech In Da Gong (北工大), is a Chinese university in the capital Beijing. It belongs to the 211 project and has developed a multi-disciplinary academic structure. It offers a variety of programs and conducts research in science, engineering, economics, management, liberal arts and law. History

The Polytechnic University was founded in 1960 with five technical departments. The first group of students came from the Technical University of Peking ( Beijing Institute of Technology ) and the Beijing Normal University. In 1981, the Graduate School was established in 1985 and awarded the first PhD school of international standard.

In 1990, the Polytechnic University of the College of Economics and Management of Beijing Union University, and in 1993, the College of computer science has been a part of the University. 1993 established the Polytechnic University cooperations with local companies, the Experimental College, which later became independent. Campus

Polytechnic University located in the southeast of Beijing. The campus covers an area of ​​800,000 square meters with 4.94 million square meters of floor space. The Main Library is a modern complex with a floor area of over 20,000 square meters. The collection includes 700,000 printed media, 60,000 e-books and more than forty types of database resources that allow documentation that meet the requirements of teaching and research. The library cooperates with the Capital Library in Beijing and the Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to offer students and faculty a professional service.
