Beiseker is a village in Alberta, Canada.

History

Beiseker, situated in a fertile field, was founded in 1908 thanks to the efforts of the Calgary Colonization Company as an agricultural center. Originating from Germany settlers who were initially emigrated to Dakota, were the first inhabitants Beisekers, reflected today still in the striking frequency of German surnames.

1910 got Beiseker after the Canadian Pacific Railway, two years later at the newly built Canadian National Railway. Also, the intersection of Highways 9, 27, and 806 north-east of the village of Beiseker gave a favorable infrastructural situation and finally in 1921 the status of a village.

Economy

The high-yielding wheat cultivation in the area led to the development of the industry for agricultural products such as fertilizers. Furthermore, there also won oil and natural gas, which is why Beiseker of various large pipelines is operated.

The Canadian headquarters of Lampson International, an international manufacturer of construction cranes is located in Beisker, including an incinerator for biomedical wastes from across Canada.
