Beit Jann

Beit Jann (Hebrew בית ג'ן, Arabic بيت جن ) is a Druze village of about 10,200 inhabitants in the North District of Israel. It lies about 15 kilometers northeast of Karmi'el and 10 kilometers south of the border with Lebanon on Mount Meron at an altitude of 940 meters above sea level and is the highest settlement in Israel. A first mention of Beit Jann is datable to the 11th century.
