Bekoji (Woreda)

Bekoji ( Amharic በቆጂ ) is one of the 20 woredas ( districts ) in the Arsi Zone in Oromia Region of Ethiopia. Before the reorganization of the administrative divisions of Ethiopia in 1995 Bekoji belonged to the province of Arsi.

Bekoji has an area of ​​1501.72 square kilometers. The figures of the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia from 2006, according to live in the Woreda Bekoji 241 357 people ( 118,721 men, 122,636 women). The population density is therefore 160.7 people per square kilometer.
