Béla Fleck

Béla Fleck (* July 10, 1958 in New York) is an American bluegrass and jazz musicians.

Béla Fleck began in early childhood, playing folk guitar. When he was 15 years old, he got from his grandfather, a banjo given. Since then, the banjo is his main instrument. Fleck plays with bands and musicians from different genres. He is a leader of the Flecktones ( Victor Wooten among others ), but worked with Edgar Meyer at some releases on Sony Classical.

From 1995 to 2010 Fleck won 11 Grammys in areas as diverse as country, jazz, pop, world music and classical crossover singer, and was nominated an additional 26 times.
