Béla Rajki

Béla Rajki, even Béla Rajki Empire ( born February 2, 1909 in Budapest, † July 20, 2000 ) was a Hungarian coach for water polo and swimming.

Béla Rajki served as coach of the Hungarian water polo team in 1952 and 1956, the Olympic champion in water polo. In 1972, the team won silver in charge of him. 1948 and 1952 he was head coach of the Hungarian swimmer team. In particular, the water polo tournament in 1956, and here especially the play of Hungary against the team of the Soviet Union was the focus of worldwide interest. Rajki his team had specifically asked for a fair game, but it developed an unusually brutal match.

In addition to his work as a trainer in high-performance sports Rajki also wrote standard works in the field of swimming and water polo, produced educational films and published teaching image rows, to which he contributed the underwater photos themselves. In 1996 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of international swimming sport.
