Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006

The Belgian national preliminary to the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 was EUR song '06.

System

For the first time the Belgian decider also included quarter final rounds: In each quarter-finals were seven candidates. Three of them qualified for the two semi-finals, where once again qualify three of the seven candidates for the final. In the two semi-finals start a total of 14 titles, since a jury of experts awarded two wildcards.

After the semi-finals, a panel of experts on another finalist decided. So the final comprised seven candidates.

Vote

In the quarter - and semi-finals, there was next to the televoting four juries: a panel of judges ( in the following tables Exp ), a press jury ( in the following tables press) and two radio juries, one of Radio 2 ( in the following tables R2 ), the other by radio Donna ( in the following tables RD). In the final, the juries were still by three international juries - supports German, Israeli and Polish. When Contest in Athens Kate Ryan had to play with Je t'adore in the semifinals, as it Nuno Resende previously failed a year, to qualify for the final.

With 69 points, she managed - despite a certain favorite role - not to qualify for the final.
