Belgrade Stock Exchange

The Beogradska Berza (Eng. Belgrade Stock Exchange, BELEX ) is a Serbian market in Belgrade.

The Exchange was founded on 21 November 1894. On January 2, 1895, started with the stock trading, then still at the Hotel Bosna. During the Second World War, the trading was suspended. In 1953, the stock market was closed because in socialist Yugoslavia was no need for stock trading.

In 1989, the stock market was reopened as Yugoslavian capital market. After the fragmentation of Yugoslavia, they again became Belgrade Stock Exchange. After the start of the wave of privatization in Serbia in 2001, the shares of the national joint-stock companies were traded here. In September 2004, the stock exchange was incorporated into the Federation of Euro -Asian Stock Exchanges. The stock market has four Indices: BELEXline, BELEXfm, BELEX15 and SRX.
