Biography

From an early age Belkıs Akkale started singing. Her family came from Malatya, but moved in the 1940s to Istanbul where Belkis Akkale was born as the second child of the family. Belkıs Akkale took seven years of primary school age music lessons with Sadi Yaver Atman. Later she worked in Istanbul with Adnan Atman. At the age of 20 years, Mustafa Geceyatmaz made ​​her an offer to work in Ankara radio as a singer. At this station they remained more than 6 years. From 1980, she worked for two years at the Turkish channel TRT, including as a presenter of the morning program " Mephare Celikli ". In 1982, she managed with her album " Dadey " breakthrough.
